This is where Owen sleeps. The BEAUTIFUL bassinet that Grandma Cindy did up for him. MANY years ago (over 10, probably closer to 15) I found this Pooh Bear fabric and fell in love with it, bought it, and held on to it for my first baby (thinking I would do the nursery in Pooh Bear, my favorite character). Well I grew older and things changed and we decided on a motorcycle nursery. But my mom, being the ever crafty that she is, lovingly used the fabric to do up the bassinet. Isn't it gorgeous?
This is Owen's crib. the photos on the left are pictures from our motorcycle trip that I took on the bike (aka action shots). Grandma Carole & Papa Charlie made the OWEN plaques. See the Harley Bear from Grandma Carole & Papa Charlie in the crib? Grandma Cindy got us the crib and bumpers.
The changing table: Those photos are pics of Devin's bike, his tank & motor, that I filtered and had printed. Owen loves them. He stares at them all the time when we change him. I use the M basket (from Grandma Carole) to hold his laundry. I still love the wire motorcycle. The dresser is filled with clothes from Aunt Cathy & Aunt Falan.
This is from the door (crib to right, changing table to left). LOVE my rocking chair we got for $35. It's painted a distressed blue (came that way). The blanket Grandma Carole knitted is on the chair. A pic of mommy & daddy from their younger riding years ;). And the OWEN cross-stitched sampler (it is a sampler I think) from Grandma Carole on the wall. The signs on the right are vintage-y and say "Born to Ride" and "Motorhead Garage."
The dresser and chest of drawers were mine in my nursery. We've had and used them all these years. Devin is wanting to sand and stain them to match the crib...maybe they'll last another 30 years!
Just going through the nursery reminds us of how loved Owen is! All of these things that make his room HIS came from all the love of his family!
